Get Latest Typhoon Info and Rain Radar with the 'NHK ONE News & Disaster Prevention' App

NHK has been providing a new map service called 'Weather & Disaster Map' within the 'NHK ONE News & Disaster Prevention' app since March 2026. To protect lives from recurring disasters, the service has been significantly renewed for better usability. The rain cloud map allows users to check forecasts up to 15 hours ahead, while the flood map provides real-time access to over 10,000 river cameras nationwide. A total of 12 types of maps, including typhoon and hazard maps, are available. Furthermore, it is linked with NHK's disaster prevention articles, helping users understand not only disaster risks but also 'what actions to take.' In emergencies, users can switch to the 'Disaster Information Map' to view shelter information and damage footage.
