Aim for the Top in High School "Sports Litter Picking"! "Spo-GOMI Koshien 2026" to be Held

The Social Sports Initiative (Nippon Foundation Spo-GOMI Federation), headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, represented by Representative Director Masanori Tamazawa, along with tournament organizers in each prefecture, is pleased to announce the holding of "Spo-GOMI Koshien 2026" for high school students nationwide. "Spo-GOMI Koshien 2026" will hold regional qualifying tournaments sequentially across the country starting from late June 2026. The winning teams from the qualifiers will advance to the national finals held at a later date to compete for the title of Japan's best in "High School Sports Litter Picking." Please look forward to the intense competition among high school "Spo-GOMI athletes" again this year. The previous tournament recorded the highest number of participants ever, and expectations for the 2026 tournament are rising. Since its inception in 2019, Spo-GOMI Koshien will reach its 8th edition in 2026. The scale of the event has expanded year by year, with 42 prefectures participating in the 2025 tournament. Additionally, with the launch of the Nippon Foundation Spo-GOMI Federation in April 2025, we will build an even stronger operational system through deeper cooperation with local organizers for the 2026 event.
