Specified Non-Profit Organization Neyagawa Citizens' Mutual Aid Association (Neyagawa City, Osaka Prefecture, Co-Representative Directors Asuka Nakatsukasa, Masako Goto) will further implement "Food Drive" activities in Neyagawa City and Katano City, in addition to the 16 stores in Neyagawa City, as a "cooperating partner" at five stores in Katano City.

・What is the FamilyMart Food Drive?
It is an initiative where uneaten food from households is brought to FamilyMart stores and provided to those in need of food support, such as "children's cafeterias," through cooperating partners like local governments and NPOs.
As of April 10, 2026, the initiative is being implemented at over 4,900 stores nationwide. In Osaka Prefecture, it is already being implemented at 254 stores.

Background of the Initiative
Since October 2021, the "Neyagawa Community Fridge" initiated by the Neyagawa Citizens' Mutual Aid Association has been running for over four years. To achieve its goals of "reducing food waste" and providing support to "single-parent households and their children, and households facing financial difficulties" and resolving social isolation, the activities have been further promoted. The social situation has shifted from the COVID-19 pandemic to rising prices, and the number of people struggling with daily life is increasing. For over three years, we have been advancing three major activities: "Food Rescue Activities" mainly in collaboration with companies, derived from the know-how gained from the "Neyagawa Community Fridge (public refrigerator)" activities, and "Food Drive Activities" with citizen participation.
