'The First Descendant' Reveals New Information Including Season 4 Trailer and Future Roadmap at 2nd Anniversary Event 'Descendant Fest 2026'!

The 2nd anniversary event 'Descendant Fest 2026,' which was broadcast live worldwide, featured the first public reveal of the trailer for the new season, 'Season 4,' along with an infographic looking back at the game's two years, the roadmap for the latter half of 2026, and various 2nd anniversary campaigns both in-game and externally.

Season 4 Trailer Revealed for the First Time!

The story preview trailer for Season 4, scheduled to begin in August, titled 'The Great Clash,' was unveiled globally for the first time. This trailer depicts the final battle between the commander of Vargas, 'Karel,' and the Descendants, as well as the all-out assault on Albion.

Latter Half of 2026 Roadmap Revealed!

July Update

The roadmap for the latter half of the year begins with the update on July 15th. This update will see improvements to the existing 'Void Interception Mission' with the introduction of 'Void Interception Mission: EXTREME.' The existing 'Hard' difficulty and 'Deep Void Interception Mission' will be integrated into a single mode with sub-divided difficulty levels, and new difficulty tiers are planned to be added.

August Update

The update scheduled for August 20th will launch the highly anticipated 'Season 4.' Season 4 Episode 1 will introduce 'Mega Dungeons,' which surpass existing dungeons in scale. More diverse stage elements, interactive environments, and a decisive battle against Karel await. The dungeons will feature multiple bosses, and the fight against Karel, in particular, will offer an unprecedentedly overwhelming cinematic experience.

Following this update, a limited-time event difficulty mode called 'Conquest' will be implemented two weeks later, along with a ranking event offering various rewards.

Mega Dungeon Mega Dungeon

This update will also introduce a new Descendant, 'Raven.' Known as a Fixer from Albion and the charismatic former boss of an underworld guild, Raven has a complex past with Vieser. Raven possesses the ability to summon 'Raven Form' to their side, allowing for instantaneous movement and powerful shotgun barrages, complemented by the support of the summoned 'Raven Form' for a stylish combat experience.

Furthermore, a new 'Exceed Weapon' system will be implemented, along with 11 new weapons. Designed as long-term farming content, these weapons will exhibit unique effects when combined, allowing for entirely different playstyles even with the same weapon, thus becoming a new core for character progression.

Finally, 'Trials' missions will be implemented, where enemy difficulty increases infinitely.

New Descendant 'Raven' Exceed Weapon

September Update

The update on September 17th will add the Descendant 'Ultimate Hailey' to the character lineup, along with two new Ultimate Skill Modules. New content, including 'Cradle of Evolution,' which features enhanced random elements compared to existing dungeons, will also be introduced.

November/December Updates

The November update will implement content such as the 'Henosis Sanctuary' dungeon and a new Descendant, 'Monet.'

The December update will introduce a new game mode, 'Colosseum-A,' as well as the first asymmetrical PvPvE content. In this new PvPvE content, players will divide into two opposing factions and aim to complete missions while battling Vargas and the opposing faction. Additionally, the ability to transform into a giant god is planned for this new content.

Latter Half of 2026 Roadmap

2nd Anniversary Infographic Revealed!

To commemorate the 2nd anniversary of 'The First Descendant's' service launch, a special infographic looking back at the game's journey so far has been released. This infographic highlights key statistics such as total playtime over the past two years, the total number of Descendants played and missions completed, as well as the most played Descendant and the most used weapon.

2nd Anniversary Event & Campaigns Held!

2nd Anniversary Event

Participate in the 2nd anniversary in-game event starting today!

The event will feature newly released customization items, a return of 1st anniversary customization items, and the first distribution of Exceed Alignment Devices. Additionally, various in-game and web events to support character growth will be held during the period.

2nd Anniversary Drop Distribution

2nd anniversary drops, including boost items, customization items, and in-game currency, will be distributed from July 3rd (Fri) 14:00 to July 29th (Wed) 23:59. Please be sure to claim them.

Skin Contest Main Voting

With the application period for the skin contest now closed, voting for the main contest entries will take place from July 6th (Mon) 16:00 to July 20th (Mon) 16:00. The winning skin designs will be produced and implemented in the game.
