31.7% Responded That They Feel a Yearning for "Weddings in Hot Spring and Resort Areas"

First, we asked if people feel a yearning for "weddings in hot spring and resort areas."

The results showed that 9.0% answered "very much" and 22.7% answered "somewhat," totaling 31.7% of people who feel a yearning for weddings in hot spring and resort areas.

On the other hand, 36.7% answered "not very much" and 31.7% answered "not at all."

We also asked for the reasons, and here are some examples:

Reasons for Feeling Yearning

- Because I want to create luxurious memories for a once-in-a-lifetime event. (20s, Female)

- Because it's Instagrammable. (20s, Female)

- Because there seem to be many places with good locations. (30s, Female)

- Because it seems refreshing. (30s, Male)

- Because it can double as a honeymoon. (40s, Female)

- Because resort areas have beautiful scenery. (40s, Female)

Reasons for Not Feeling Yearning

- It seems like a lot of trouble. (30s, Female)

- There seem to be many people, and it's far away, so it's difficult for guests to attend. (30s, Female)

- Because it seems expensive. (30s, Male)

- Because travel seems difficult. (40s, Female)

- Because preparations seem difficult. (40s, Female)

Common reasons included "beautiful scenery," "many places with good locations," and "because it's Instagrammable." Many people seem to be attracted to the beautiful scenery and extraordinary atmosphere unique to resort weddings.

In recent years, the number of couples having photoshoots for wedding photos at scenic locations has been increasing, which makes these results understandable.

On the other hand, the reasons for not feeling a yearning primarily highlighted concerns about the difficulty of preparations and the cost.

Even with a yearning, some people may hesitate to take the plunge when considering travel and other preparations.

40.0% Cited "Beautiful Natural Locations" as an Appealing Point for Hot Spring/Resort Weddings

Next, we asked about the appealing aspects of weddings in hot spring and resort areas.

The most common answer was "Beautiful natural locations" at 40.0%.

This was followed by "Sense of the extraordinary and special" at 36.3%, "Guests can enjoy it like a trip" at 26.0%, and "Can relax in a hot spring or resort after the ceremony" at 25.7%.

This indicates that beautiful scenery and an extraordinary atmosphere are highly valued aspects of hot spring and resort weddings. Many people are attracted to the idea of holding a wedding in a special environment different from everyday life.

Additionally, "Guests can enjoy it like a trip" and "Can relax in a hot spring or resort after the ceremony" were also among the top responses. This suggests that not only the bride and groom but also the desire to provide a special experience for guests is a key factor in venue selection.

46.3% Responded That "Natural Scenery/Location" is Important When Choosing a Venue

Next, we asked how important "natural scenery/location" is when choosing a wedding venue.

The results showed that 10.3% answered "very important" and 36.0% answered "somewhat important," totaling 46.3% of people who consider location important.

Furthermore, 39.3% answered "not very important" and 14.3% answered "not at all important."

We also asked for the reasons behind these opinions, and here are some examples:

Respondents who answered "Natural scenery/location" is important

- Because it will be a lifelong memory. (30s, Female)

- Because good air makes expressions softer. (30s, Male)

- On such a special day, I want to choose a place with a better view than a residential area. (30s, Female)

- The location is lovely and makes for good memories. (40s, Female)

- The ocean in Hawaii is truly wonderful, perfect for photos and memories. (40s, Female)

- Because I want to experience the extraordinary. (50s, Female)

Respondents who answered "Natural scenery/location" is not important

- I want to prioritize the quality of food and the production over the location. (30s, Male)

- I think the venue itself is important. (30s, Female)

- It seems expensive. (30s, Male)

- A wedding is a waste, unnecessary. (30s, Female)

- The cost of holding a wedding is the most important factor. (40s, Male)

Those who considered "natural scenery/location" important expressed a desire to cherish the specialness of the wedding day, with comments like "Because it will be a lifelong memory" and "Because I want to experience the extraordinary."

There were also comments considering the lasting impact of photos and videos, such as "Because it makes for good memories" and "Expressions become softer."

Perhaps because it's not an event that happens many times in life, many people have special feelings about weddings.

On the other hand, those who answered "not important" cited differences in values, such as "I want to prioritize the quality of food and the production over the location" and "It seems expensive."

While the points emphasized in a wedding vary from person to person, beautiful scenery and an extraordinary environment can be a significant attraction for creating special memories unique to that day.

62.6% Found the Environment of Relaxing in a Hot Spring/Resort After the Ceremony "Appealing"

Finally, we asked those who responded that they "have had a wedding or want to have one" if they find the environment of relaxing in a hot spring or resort after the ceremony and reception appealing.

The results showed that 19.3% answered "very appealing" and 43.3% answered "somewhat appealing," totaling 62.6% who found it appealing. Additionally, 24.3% answered "not very appealing" and 13.0% answered "not at all appealing."

We also asked for the reasons, and here are some examples:

Reasons for Finding it Appealing

- Because you can feel the extraordinary. (30s, Female)

- Because you can experience a trip-like atmosphere. (40s, Male)

- Because weddings are tiring, and I want to relax. (30s, Female)

- Because I couldn't go on a honeymoon, so I yearn for it. (40s, Female)

Reasons for Not Finding it Appealing

- Because after the wedding, I want to prioritize the ease of guests returning home. (30s, Male)

- Because I don't really like hot springs. (40s, Female)

- Because the purpose gets blurred. (40s, Male)

Those who answered it was appealing mentioned comments like "Weddings are tiring, and I want to relax" and "Because I couldn't go on a honeymoon, so I yearn for it." Many people seem to want to make not only the wedding itself but also the time before and after it a special memory.

On the other hand, opinions such as "Because after the wedding, I want to prioritize the ease of guests returning home" and "Because the purpose gets blurred" were also seen. This shows that the points emphasized differ depending on what one seeks from a wedding.

Rather than denying the appeal of resort weddings, these opinions seem to reflect differences in guest consideration and perspectives on how weddings should be.

For those who prioritize an extraordinary experience and special moments in a wedding, hot spring and resort areas can be an attractive option.

Summary

In this survey, 31.7% of people felt a yearning for "weddings in hot spring and resort areas." The appealing aspects included many comments such as "Beautiful natural locations," "Sense of the extraordinary and special," and "Guests can enjoy it like a trip."

Furthermore, 62.6% found the environment of relaxing in a hot spring or resort after the ceremony appealing, indicating that many people value not only the wedding itself but also the time before and after it.

Spending special time with loved ones surrounded by beautiful scenery is indeed a unique charm of weddings in hot spring and resort areas.

Perhaps because it's a once-in-a-lifetime event, more people are emphasizing the experience of spending time in a location, not just the venue itself.
