Survey: 'Local Watch Shops' Rank First for Watch Repairs; 'Technical Skill' and 'Pricing Clarity' Top Priority

## How do you maintain your precious watch?

Watches are not just tools for telling time. For many, they are cherished companions that grow on us the more we wear them. However, as mechanical devices, they inevitably require adjustments or repairs over time. Where and based on what criteria do people entrust their watch maintenance?

We partnered with the authorized luxury watch retailer 'HARADA' to conduct a survey on 'watch repair and maintenance' among 400 people nationwide who own or have owned watches.

### 'Local Watch Shops' Rank First as Preferred Repairers (50.6%)
Among those with repair or maintenance experience, the most common choice was 'local watch shops' at 50.6%. This was followed by 'the store where purchased' (25.3%) and 'authorized dealers or brand direct stores' (18.4%).

### 'Technical Skill and Quality' Rank First as Top Priority (71.3%)
When asked what they prioritize when choosing a repair service, the most selected factor was 'technical skill and quality of repair' at 71.3%. This was followed by 'affordable and clear repair pricing' (59.8%), 'use of genuine parts' (29.9%), 'comprehensive post-repair warranty' (27.6%), and 'speed of service' (24.1%).

### 81.5% Want to Use Their Watches 'Long and Carefully'
When asked if they want to keep using their watches for a long time, 81.5% of respondents answered in the affirmative.
