■ AI Overviews Awareness at 54.9%, Penetrating Over Half of Web Professionals

The total percentage of respondents who answered 'Know it well' or 'Know it somewhat' about AI Overviews was 54.9%, indicating that awareness has already spread to over half of web professionals.

On the other hand, over 40% answered 'Do not know,' suggesting a disparity in understanding even among web professionals.

■ 71.0% 'Read' Displayed AI Overviews, Becoming Established in Information Gathering Behavior

Respondents who answered 'Always read carefully,' 'Often read,' or 'Sometimes read' AI Overviews accounted for 71.0%.

This suggests that AI summaries displayed in search results are becoming established as part of users' information gathering behavior.

■ 61.3% Click on Sites Within AI Overviews, Increasing Importance of Being Featured

The total for 'Always click,' 'Often click,' and 'Sometimes click' was 61.3%.

With over 60% actually clicking on websites displayed in AI Overviews, the importance of being featured in AI Overviews is evident.

■ 35.5% 'Complete Search with AI Overviews Alone,' Potential for Click Decrease Even for Top Rankings

Respondents who answered that they 'often' or 'sometimes' complete their search using only AI Overviews accounted for 35.5%.

On the other hand, over 60% do not complete their search with AI Overviews alone and also check traditional search results. However, since approximately 35% already end their search with AI Overviews alone, there is a possibility that click-through rates for even top-ranking sites have decreased compared to before.

■ 51.6% Say 'Importance of SEO Has Not Changed,' Search Traffic Remains Important in the AI Era

'Has not changed' was the most common response at 51.6%, indicating that many believe the importance of SEO remains high even with the advent of AI Overviews.

Furthermore, combining 'Somewhat increased' and 'Greatly increased' totals 22.6%, showing that a certain number of people feel that the importance of ranking high in search results has increased precisely because of the AI Overviews era.

Since AI Overviews tends to generate answers by referencing top-ranking pages, traditional SEO is not becoming unnecessary; rather, its importance as a foundation is considered to be increasing.

■ Impact on Own Sites: 'No Change' at 46.2%, Impact Varies by Site

'No change' was the most common response at 46.2%, but both 'Increased' and 'Decreased' were at 15.4%, indicating that the impact of AI Overviews is starting to vary by site.

Additionally, 23.1% answered 'Do not know,' suggesting that a considerable number of people have not sufficiently analyzed traffic changes due to AI Overviews.

In the future, analyzing traffic via AI Overviews, in addition to search rankings, is expected to become more important.

■ 22.6% Have Experience with Own Site Being Featured in AI Overviews

Combining 'Frequently featured' and 'Occasionally featured' totals 22.6%.

On the other hand, 'Never been featured' was the most common response at 35.5%, indicating that many people have not yet experienced being featured in AI Overviews.

Furthermore, 29.0% answered 'Don't know,' suggesting that a considerable number of cases are not fully aware of their own site's inclusion status.
