■ 11.4% answered that they "usually get hangovers."
First, we asked people who usually drink alcohol if they usually get hangovers.
The result was 88.6% saying "no" and 11.4% saying "yes."
Among those who usually drink alcohol, only about 10% actually experience hangovers.
■ The top hangover countermeasures are "drink plenty of water" 52.1%, "eat a proper meal" 39.6%, and "adjust drinking volume" 37.5%.
Next, we asked those who answered that they usually get hangovers if they do anything as a hangover countermeasure before or after drinking.
The most common answer was "drink plenty of water" at 52.1%.
This was followed by "eat a proper meal" at 39.6%, "adjust drinking volume" at 37.5%, "don't drink on an empty stomach" at 33.3%, and "drink turmeric-based drinks" at 31.3%.
It is clear that methods that are easy to incorporate into daily life, such as hydration, meals, and controlling drinking volume, occupy the top ranks, and many people choose countermeasures they can do themselves without spending money.
■ 56.3% answered that they are "satisfied" with their current hangover countermeasures.
Next, we asked those who answered that they usually get hangovers if they are satisfied with their current hangover countermeasures.
The result was 4.2% saying "very satisfied" and 52.1% saying "somewhat satisfied," for a total of 56.3% who are satisfied with their current countermeasures.
On the other hand, 29.2% were "not very satisfied" and 14.6% were "not satisfied at all."
Combined, this is 43.8%, indicating that a considerable number of people are dissatisfied with their current hangover countermeasures.
We asked for reasons for each answer, and here are some examples:
Reasons for satisfaction:
・Because recovery is faster. (40s, male)
・Because I don't get hangovers very often. (30s, female)
・Because adjusting drinking volume is also good for one's health. (50s, female)
Reasons for dissatisfaction:
・I don't know if it works. (40s, female)
・Because I always get a headache the next day. (40s, male)
・Because I still get a hangover even with countermeasures. (30s, male)
・Can't get rid of the drunken feeling. (30s, female)
Those who were satisfied mentioned feeling the effects and lifestyle benefits, such as "faster recovery" and "adjusting drinking volume leads to better health management."
On the other hand, those who were dissatisfied frequently voiced doubts about the effectiveness of countermeasures, such as "I don't know if it works," "I still get a hangover even with countermeasures," and "headaches persist the next day." This conveys a sense of frustration that efforts to take countermeasures are not yielding results.
■ 43.8% answered that they "want to feel the effects more" with their current hangover countermeasures.
Next, we asked those who answered that they usually get hangovers if there was anything they wished were better about their current hangover countermeasures.
