■ 33.2% responded that they 'have experienced mail or packages not arriving or being delayed'

First, we asked if they had ever felt that mail or packages 'did not arrive' or were 'delayed'.

The result was 33.2% 'yes' and 66.8% 'no'.

While most packages arrive as scheduled, given the enormous number of deliveries, it may be unavoidable that a certain percentage of problems occur.

■ 50.6% responded that they 'waited and saw'

Next, we asked those who had experienced mail or packages 'not arriving' or being 'delayed' how they responded at that time.

The most common response was 'waited and saw' at 50.6%.

This was followed by 'contacted the delivery company/post office' at 40.4%, and 'contacted the sender or e-commerce site' at 22.3%.

It appears that half of the people did not take immediate action and waited to see what would happen.

Since there can be slight variations in delivery times, the psychology of 'it might arrive if I wait a little longer' may be at play.

■ 52.4% responded that they 'sometimes use redelivery services'

Next, we asked if they sometimes use redelivery services.

The result was 52.4% 'yes' and 47.6% 'no'.

Furthermore, we asked those who sometimes use redelivery services about their convenience.

The result was 61.8% 'very much so' and 34.7% 'somewhat so', meaning a total of 96.5% of people feel that redelivery services are convenient.

Considering modern lifestyles where many people are absent during the day due to work or going out, redelivery is an indispensable system for many.

■ 44.2% responded that they 'have used delivery boxes or unattended delivery'

Next, we asked if they had ever used a delivery box or unattended delivery for receiving items when absent.

The result was 44.2% 'yes' and 55.8% 'no'.

Delivery boxes and unattended delivery are becoming widespread as methods for easily receiving packages even when absent. In this survey, over 40% of respondents had used them, indicating that these receiving methods are becoming more familiar.
