This time, in collaboration with SOLOW, an ethnic chic interior company, we conducted a survey on "Interest in Overseas/Exotic Taste Interiors" targeting 100 men and women nationwide who had previously responded that they "wanted to incorporate overseas/exotic taste into their home interiors."

## 45.0% interested in "Nordic" style
Next, we asked about the overseas interior styles respondents were particularly interested in.
The most common answer was "Nordic" at 45.0%.
This was followed by "Mediterranean" at 15.0%, "Asian" at 7.0%, "French Chic" at 6.0%, "Mid-century" at 5.0%, "Industrial" at 3.0%, and "Bohemian" at 1.0%.
Nordic style garnered overwhelming support.
Its simple and warm design may be one reason for its popularity, as it is easy to incorporate into Japanese homes.

## 51.0% have "purchased" overseas interior items
Next, we asked if respondents had actually purchased overseas interior items.
As a result, 51.0% answered "yes," and 49.0% answered "no."
More than half of those interested have actually proceeded with a purchase. This suggests that interest in overseas interiors is not just a mere longing but leads to action.

Some also purchased seeking a sense of the extraordinary, indicating that overseas interiors add color to daily life.

Finally, we asked what kind of support or information would be welcome when incorporating overseas interiors.
The most common answer was "shop information where they can purchase" at 43.0%.
This was followed by "coordination examples by style" and "recommended product introductions by price range" both at 39.0%, and "arrangement methods suitable for Japanese homes" and "layout examples by room size" both at 37.0%.
The highest information need is "where to buy," suggesting that many people are interested in overseas interiors but don't know where to purchase them.
Furthermore, there is high interest in coordination examples, price-range specific introductions, and arrangement methods suitable for Japanese living environments, indicating a demand for practical information.
## Summary
This survey revealed that among those interested in overseas/exotic taste interiors, "Nordic" style holds overwhelming popularity, and more than half have actually purchased overseas interior items.
Reasons for purchase primarily revolve around a commitment to design and a desire to change the atmosphere of their living space. There was also a strong demand for practical support, such as information on shops where items can be purchased and coordination examples.
