■ Survey on prior knowledge of funeral costs and interest in public funeral halls
Most people do not have many opportunities to be involved in a funeral during their lifetime.
Because of this, it is not uncommon for people to be confused when they suddenly find themselves in the position of a chief mourner, thinking, "I had absolutely no idea about the costs."
Furthermore, there are cases where people proceed with funeral arrangements without knowing about the existence of "public funeral halls" (municipal funeral facilities) operated by local governments.
Therefore, in collaboration with 'Jiyuni Kazokusou' (Free Family Funeral), we conducted a survey on "perceptions of funeral costs and awareness of public funeral halls" targeting 200 men and women nationwide who responded in a preliminary survey that they had "experience as a chief mourner or conducting a funeral."
