Travel App 'NEWT' Announces Full Refunds and Support Due to Middle East Situation (Updated 4/2)

Reiwa Travel Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Takaya Shinozuka), which operates the smart, affordable travel app 'NEWT,' had previously announced a special measure for full refunds for departures to or via the Middle East region up to April 15 (Wednesday) due to rapid changes in the situation in the Middle East. We are now extending this special measure to cover departures up to April 30 (Thursday).

NEWT continues to maintain a dedicated 24-hour support desk for customers, strengthening its rapid and flexible response system. For customers currently staying in the affected areas, we will provide 24-hour support, prioritizing safety, including assistance for their return home.

・We will bear the full cancellation fee for eligible bookings (full refund).

・For customers currently staying in the Middle East region or Europe and planning to return via connecting flights, we will provide 24-hour priority support.

◾️Scope of Eligibility

Tours (organized package tours and custom-made tours) with destinations in or transiting through the Middle East region, such as the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

◾️Eligible Period

・Departure dates: Tours departing from March 1, 2026 (Sunday) to April 30, 2026 (Thursday) (organized package tours and custom-made tours are eligible).

Based on the evolving situation and travel advisories from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we are considering support for departures after April 30 in due course. The latest information will be provided on our website as it becomes available.

・Travel booked through NEWT's organized package tours or custom-made tours has become difficult to implement or requires changes due to changes in the situation in the Middle East region.

・Even if you cancel online in the usual way, we will process refunds if you notify us. Please be assured that although the usual cancellation fee will be displayed when canceling online, a full refund will be provided.
