Hanchi Mei Shi (1268-TW), a chain dining group, has launched its premium buffet brand 'Island Language' at Hanshin Intercontinental in Taichung, adding strong new revenue momentum. Two additional stores are planned before year-end. Despite the most severe market correction this week, Hanchi Mei Shi's stock price remained stable, closing the week in the green and holding near its highest levels in nearly two months.
This marks the fourth 'Island Language' location in Taichung. The Taipei Dome and Tainan Nanfang stores are scheduled to open before year-end, bringing the total to six locations across Taiwan. Meanwhile, the existing six 'Hanchi Hai Gang' restaurants will be upgraded to 'Hai Gang Premium'.
Hanchi Mei Shi achieved a record-breaking after-tax net profit of NT$248 million in Q1, a 33.9% year-on-year increase, with earnings per share (EPS) reaching NT$5.87—the highest quarterly profit in company history. The company also reported record-breaking consolidated revenue in Q2, up 19.24% year-on-year.
Recently, Hanchi Mei Shi launched a new Cantonese cuisine brand, 'Chang Yue', with its first outlet in the Kaohsiung Arena shopping district. Additional outlets, including 'Ming Ren Fang' and 'Fu Yuan'—a Taiwanese cuisine brand expanding beyond the Kaohsiung Hanchi Grand Hotel—are planned for the Taipei Dome, indicating continued revenue growth.
Facing inflationary pressures, Hanchi Mei Shi leverages its scale of over 50 locations and joint procurement power from the Kaohsiung Hanchi Hotel and Taipei Nangang Hanchi Hotel to stabilize costs. Given the essential nature of the dining market, investors anticipate steady growth in profitability.
