Fareastone (4904-TW) announced its June revenue today, reporting a record-high net profit of NT$1.373 billion and earnings per share (EPS) of NT$0.38, fueled by continued 5G user upgrades, strong sales of smartphones and innovative data plans, successful delivery of smart ICT projects, and sustained growth in personal digital lifestyle services.
Fareastone's June revenue reached NT$9.622 billion, up 1.3% month-over-month and 15.9% year-over-year. EBITDA was NT$3.489 billion, up 3.5% MoM and 10.59% YoY. Net profit after tax was NT$1.373 billion, up 3.5% MoM and 19.08% YoY, with EPS at NT$0.38. Revenue marked a record high for the same period in history, while EBITDA, net profit, and EPS all hit new single-month highs.
For Q2, revenue totaled NT$28.664 billion, up 3.09% quarter-over-quarter and 13.63% YoY. EBITDA was NT$10.155 billion (up 0.78% QoQ, 8.12% YoY), net profit reached NT$4.009 billion (up 8.09% QoQ, 18.82% YoY), and EPS was NT$1.11.
Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year reached NT$56.468 billion, up 10.1% YoY. EBITDA was NT$23.231 billion (up 7.2% YoY), net profit was NT$7.718 billion (up 16.7% YoY), and EPS stood at NT$2.14. Fareastone stated that all key financial metrics exceeded its original forecasts, with net profit and EPS achieving 113% of target.
In core telecom operations, mobile service revenue in June was NT$5.285 billion, up 3.1% YoY. Continued 5G upgrades and enhanced service value through diversified digital lifestyle offerings drove monthly ARPU for subscription users up 2.6% YoY, with 5G penetration reaching 49.3%.
Personal digital lifestyle services maintained double-digit growth in June, driven by farenday video streaming, concert ticketing, 'Fareastone Guardian Net,' and insurance agency services. On the enterprise side, successful delivery of cloud and IoT projects further boosted revenue.
