[New Era] Launches Junior Soccer Caps for the First Time, Featuring Primeflex® and DotAir® Models, Available from Tuesday, April 21st

New Era, a global sports and lifestyle brand, is launching its first junior soccer caps, designed to protect children's heads from sun and heat, in response to the playing environment of junior soccer where consideration for UV rays and heat is required. According to the Japan Football Association, the number of registered players under 12 years old (Category 4) is 274,774 (as of 2024), showing an increasing trend*1. Meanwhile, the average temperature in Japan for the summer of 2025 is expected to be +2.36℃ higher than normal, marking the highest level ever observed*2, indicating the normalization of extreme heat. The Japan Sport Association has issued guidelines that, in principle, recommend suspending exercise when the WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) is 31℃ or higher*3, making strong sunlight and UV protection an indispensable consideration for junior sports. New Era offers a wide range of kids' caps, from lifestyle models to functional models, and based on this track record, it is launching caps specifically for junior soccer. This collection features two types of models: one using Primeflex®, a high-performance material with high stretchability and lightness, and another using DotAir®, a high-performance material with excellent breathability and quick-drying properties. Both models feature a slightly thicker soft mesh on the center panel to enhance water absorption and cushioning, achieving a lightweight and comfortable fit.
