ARIA Co., Ltd. (Osaka City; Representative Director: Daisuke Miyazaki), which operates pediatric-specialized home nursing stations, will continue to roll out the "NewGate Kodomo Shokudo" (Children's Cafeteria) regularly across the country following the success of its inaugural event on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The goal of the event is to provide a space where children living in the community and their families can connect with smiles. It is by no means intended only for children with medical needs or developmental characteristics. We will hold these "inclusive-style children's cafeterias," where all children and families in the region can participate and enjoy themselves, in areas across the country where our home nursing stations are located.
In addition to providing free, warm meals, we plan to host events for 100 people featuring fun programs such as super-ball scooping and cotton candy making, as well as "exciting prizes" that will make children want to participate. With our vision of "A life full of smiles and true to oneself" and our mission to reform regional healthcare through the self-actualization of medical professionals, we will provide opportunities for local residents to smile and places where they can connect.
## Why a Home Nursing Station is Hosting a "Kodomo Shokudo"
NewGate provides over 5,000 instances of developmental support and medical care support for children with medical needs every month. While supporting children and families living at home with medical care and assistance, we have strongly felt the need for "community connections" and "places where people can gather with peace of mind." We hope that the "NewGate Kodomo Shokudo" will lower the psychological and physical hurdles for children who need medical care or support and their families to go out and participate in community events, serving as a safe haven for them.
Despite it being the first event, 55 guests attended on March 15, and we received many happy comments. Moving forward, we aim to go beyond simply providing meals and create a place where children and parents can gather with peace of mind through "play," "experience," and "interaction."

## We Want People to Properly Understand Pediatric Home Nursing
It is not widely known that pediatric home nursing is available to many people. Beyond developmental support and medical care, it can also be used for respite (rest) for families, support for raising twins, reducing caregiving burdens, nighttime support, and ensuring time for siblings.
In our daily support work, we constantly hear voices saying, "I didn't know my family could use this service" or "I wish I had consulted you sooner." This children's cafeteria is also an opportunity for local residents to learn about the existence of pediatric home nursing. We strive for a society where children with medical needs or developmental characteristics are not seen as "special," but can naturally spend time as "members of the community." As a first step, NewGate will continue to build sustainable, community-rooted places where people can belong.

### "Kodomo Shokudo" as a Place Where Staff Also Feel a Sense of Fulfillment
When we called for volunteers from our staff to hold the "NewGate Kodomo Shokudo," 19 nurses and therapists raised their hands despite it being their day off. Through operating the "NewGate Kodomo Shokudo," they felt a sense of fulfillment in being useful to the community and understood the significance of non-profit initiatives. Through home nursing, we do not just "support life"; we support "living with peace of mind within the community." We will continue to build sustainable, community-rooted places where people can connect, feel safe, and support one another.
