Scenes from "NewGate Kodomo Shokudo" held on March 15, 2026

ARIA Inc. (Osaka City, Representative Director: Daisuke Miyazaki), which operates specialized pediatric home nursing stations, will regularly expand its "NewGate Kodomo Shokudo" events nationwide, following the positive reception of its first event held on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The aim of the event is to provide a place where children and their families living in the community can connect with smiles. It is not exclusively for children with medical care needs or developmental characteristics. We will hold "inclusive Kodomo Shokudo" events, where all children and their families in the community can participate and enjoy, in regions across the country where our home nursing stations are located.

In addition to providing free warm meals, we will implement fun programs such as super ball scooping and cotton candy making. In the future, we plan to prepare "heart-pounding prizes" that will encourage children to participate, aiming for an event size of 100 people. With the vision of "A life full of smiles, true to oneself" and the mission of reforming regional healthcare through the self-realization of healthcare professionals, we will continue to provide opportunities for people in the community to smile and places to connect.

Reasons Why a Home Nursing Station Holds a "Kodomo Shokudo"

NewGate provides over 5,000 monthly developmental support services for children with developmental characteristics and medical care support for children requiring medical care. Through our close support for children and families living at home while receiving medical care and assistance, we have strongly felt the need for "community connections" and "safe gathering places." We hope that 'NewGate Kodomo Shokudo' will lower the psychological and physical hurdles for children requiring medical care or support and their families to go out and participate in community events, becoming a safe haven for them.

On March 15th, despite it being the first event, 55 customers visited, and we received wonderful feedback. Moving forward, we aim to create a safe place for children and parents to gather, not just by providing meals, but also through "play," "experiences," and "interaction."

We Want People to Correctly Understand Pediatric Home Nursing

It is not widely known that pediatric home nursing can be utilized by many people. In addition to developmental support and medical care support, it can also be used for purposes such as respite for families (rest), support for raising twins, reducing care burden, nighttime support, and ensuring time with siblings.

In our daily support, we constantly hear voices like, "I didn't know my family could use this," or "I wish I had consulted sooner." This Kodomo Shokudo event is also an opportunity for local residents to learn about the existence of pediatric home nursing. Towards a society where children with medical care needs and developmental characteristics can live naturally as "members of the community" rather than special beings, NewGate will continue to promote the creation of sustainable, community-rooted places as a first step.

"Kodomo Shokudo" Becomes a Rewarding Place for Staff Too

When we sought volunteers from our staff to hold 'NewGate Kodomo Shokudo,' 19 nurses and therapists volunteered despite it being their day off. Through the operation of 'NewGate Kodomo Shokudo Nurses,' they felt a sense of purpose in helping the community and the significance of non-profit initiatives. Through home nursing, we not only "support life" but also aim to be a presence that supports "living safely in the community," creating sustainable, community-rooted places that offer connection, security, and mutual support.
