NewGate conducts over 5,000 cases per month of developmental support for children with developmental characteristics and medical care support for children requiring medical care. While staying close to children and families living at home while receiving medical care and support, we strongly felt the need for 'connections with the community' and 'places where people can gather with peace of mind'. We hope that the 'NewGate Children's Cafeteria' will lower the psychological and physical hurdles for children requiring medical care or support and their families to go out and participate in community events, becoming a safe haven for them.
On March 15, despite being the first time it was held, 55 guests attended, and we received happy feedback. Moving forward, we aim to create a safe place for children and parents to gather not only by providing meals but also through 'play', 'experience', and 'interaction'.
