Neusignal Therapeutics, Inc.

Neusignal Therapeutics, Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Tatsu Arimoto; hereinafter referred to as "NTX"), a company developing Alzheimer's disease therapeutics originating from Tohoku University, announced today that it has successfully raised approximately JPY 5.32 billion in total funding for this round through a third-party allotment of shares to the investors listed below, as well as a grant from AMED's "Drug Discovery Venture Ecosystem Strengthening Project."

Purpose and Use of Funds

Utilizing funds raised in Series A, NTX initiated a physician-led clinical trial (single ascending dose study in healthy adults) for its investigational drug NTX-083 at the University of Tokyo Hospital in February 2025, and reported the completion of observation for all subjects in September of the same year. Furthermore, a corporate-led clinical trial (multiple ascending dose study in healthy adults) for NTX-083 commenced in November 2025, with observation for all subjects completed in March 2026. Both studies confirmed high safety and tolerability, with no significant adverse events reported in safety assessments. Additionally, it was revealed that NTX-083 demonstrated an excellent pharmacokinetic profile in both single and multiple ascending dose administrations. These trials progressed faster than originally planned.

Based on these achievements, NTX plans to utilize the funds raised in this Series B round to initiate a Phase 1b study in patients with Alzheimer's disease in the United States later this year. The company will also proceed with talent acquisition and other initiatives with the aim of forming business partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies thereafter.
