New Animation Open World RPG 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' Implements First Major Update with New Character 'Escanor'!

Netmarble announced that its new animation open-world RPG 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' (developed by Netmarble F&C Inc.) received its first major update since its official release on Thursday, April 23rd.

This update adds the new character 'Escanor,' a new story, a new area, and various in-game events.

◆ Highly Anticipated New Character 'Escanor' Implemented!

'Escanor' is a character renowned for his popularity and strength in the original 'The Seven Deadly Sins' series, now appearing as a new playable character in this title. He is characterized by a combat style that utilizes various weapons such as axes, greatswords, and sword-and-shield, delivering high-power attacks in addition to inflicting burn effects on enemies. To commemorate his implementation, exclusive engraved equipment and the sacred treasure 'Divine Axe Rhitta' have also been added.

◆ Main Story Act 13 'The Rising Sun Again,' New Area, and New Boss Added

Act 13 'The Rising Sun Again' depicts the story of Meliodas and Hawk, who realize they have been sent to the future, aiming to reunite with their comrades and confronting 'Galand,' one of the Ten Commandments.

Furthermore, the new area 'The Beautiful Gluttony' Tavern has been added. Located south of the Vaanya Plains, this area features unique collectibles, cooking ingredients, and minerals, expanding the scope of open-world exploration.

A new boss, 'Galand,' also makes an appearance. 'Galand' possesses a unique 'taboo' mechanic that imposes restrictions on players at regular intervals, resulting in penalties such as petrification or HP reduction if conditions are violated. By clearing the 'Hell' difficulty, players can obtain 'Mad Eye of Greed,' a material for crafting the legendary weapon 'Soul-Devouring Axe.'

◆ Commemorative Events for the Update Also Held

To celebrate this update, various in-game events are currently underway.

The login event 'Rising Sun - Update Commemorative Login Bonus' allows players to obtain the mount pet 'Arrogant Moustache Hawk,' and an 'Escanor Trial Event' is also being held where players can experience 'Escanor.'
