"Marvel Rivals" Season 8 "Alchemax's Sin" Starts May 15!

Marvel Games and NetEase Games today, May 13, 2026 (Japan time), announced details for Season 8 "Alchemax's Sin" for the superhero PvP team shooting game "Marvel Rivals." This season will start on Friday, May 15, 2026. In "Primal Fury," Devil Dinosaur will join the roster as a new Vanguard, and a brand new Doom Match map, "Alchemax Headquarters," will be introduced. Additionally, a new lineup of accessories and student benefits will be added. Meanwhile, after a preseason filled with groundbreaking performances and numerous upsets, the "Marvel Rivals Ignite" esports tournament is finally entering Stage 1. The group stage will commence on Thursday, May 21.

Devil Dinosaur (Vanguard)

Devil Dinosaur is a wild Vanguard who wields primal instincts and overwhelming power. In combat, he uses his massive body and force field shield to fight on the front lines, inflicting continuous bleeding effects on enemies with his primal bite attacks. When breaking through enemy defenses, he rapidly intensifies his offensive, firmly gripping bleeding enemies with his giant jaws to put them in a controlled state. When activating his Ultimate ability, Devil Dinosaur transforms into an invincible behemoth, stomping on all enemies in his path without mercy as he charges forward. Crush the enemy backline completely and lead your team to victory.

New Doom Match Map "Alchemax Headquarters" & New Accessories

Season 8 will add a brand new Doom Match map, "Alchemax Headquarters," on May 28. Players will rush to the corporate gates to rescue Cyclops and Moon Girl. Additionally, many charming new accessories will be added for characters such as Devil Dinosaur, The Thing, Black Widow, Angela, Hela, Namor, and The Punisher.

PC Storage Optimization (New Feature)

[Newly Added] PC storage environment will be optimized. High-resolution texture packs will now be provided as independent DLC and can be uninstalled separately. This will save approximately 35GB of storage space.

Marvel Rivals Ignite Esports Tournament Stage 1 Begins

After a preseason with numerous groundbreaking performances and upsets, the "Marvel Rivals Ignite" esports tournament is finally entering Stage 1. Stage 1 consists of the following two phases:

Group Stage: Thursday, May 21, 2026 - Sunday, June 7, 2026

Playoffs: Thursday, June 25, 2026 - Sunday, July 5, 2026

In Stage 1, a new map, "New York: Lower Manhattan," will be added, bringing new strategic depth and gameplay dynamics to the competition. The total prize pool for Stage 1 is $650,000, and it will be held across two phases: Group Stage (May 21 - June 7) and Playoffs (June 25 - July 5). After the Group Stage, the top 8 teams from each region will advance to the Playoffs.
