The "neoAI Chat Advanced Audit Functionality" is an optional feature for "neoAI Chat" that provides guardrail and audit log acquisition functions for corporations. It supports internal controls, incident investigations, and audit responses through a guardrail function that monitors user input and prevents risky submissions, and an audit log acquisition function that records system authentication and operations within the system.

[Initiatives at Ikedasenshu Holdings]

1. Background and Objectives

As the full-scale use of "neoAI Chat" by companies progressed, neoAI recognized the growing need for enhanced governance of generative AI. In particular, companies with high security standards, such as financial institutions, required controls for the risk of users unintentionally inputting information that does not comply with policies, and the acquisition of evidence to regularly verify safe usage.

To address these challenges, neoAI, together with Ikedasenshu Holdings, began efforts to build an advanced audit functionality that could meet the company's standards.

2. Implementation Details and Results

neoAI conducted a Proof of Concept (PoC) with Ikedasenshu Holdings, discussing the required audit methods, and refining the detection targets and operational rules for the guardrail function in the context of banking operations, as well as improving detection accuracy. The PoC primarily verified the following three aspects:

(1) Automatic Detection During Use

The guardrail function automatically detects and controls the input of information that does not comply with organizational policies and inappropriate usage.

(2) Operation Aligned with Own Policies

To accommodate the different security requirements and operational policies of each financial institution, neoAI designed the guardrail function to be optimizable for each organization, allowing it to be operated in accordance with their own policies.

(3) Securing Evidence Usable for Audit Response

To fulfill accountability to the audit department and management, logs were recorded when the guardrail function was activated, enabling the understanding of usage status and support for audit responses.

Furthermore, the PoC verified detection accuracy for the following aspects:

Intellectual property infringement

Input of confidential or sensitive information

Contract, proposal, and quotation information

Improper use

Personal use

Criminal activities

Hate speech and violent expressions

As a result of the PoC, a detection rate of 97.6% and a false positive rate of 0.7% were achieved. The functionality was approved for adoption with a view to practical operation at Ikedasenshu Holdings, and preparations for its launch are underway.

As we promote the use of generative AI across our group, we believed that a mechanism for safe and appropriate use was important.
