Neo Career Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director CEO: Ryoichi Nishizawa; hereinafter "Neo Career"), a comprehensive human resources service provider, operates "Nice! Kaigo," a temporary staffing and job change support service specializing in nursing care professionals. The service conducted a survey on the actual usage of job search services for nursing care professionals, targeting job seekers who used the service within the past two years, and received responses from 515 individuals.
The results of this survey showed that the most important factor when choosing a job search service was "diversity of working style options, such as employment type and working hours" (60.2%). Additionally, approximately 60% of job seekers used multiple job search services, indicating a tendency to compare conditions and working styles when looking for a job.
Summary of Survey Results
・60.2% of respondents emphasized "diversity of working style options" as the most important factor.
・"Job proposals that respect preferences" followed closely at 56.9%.
・Approximately 60% (57.1%) had experience using multiple job search services.
"Diversity of Working Style Options" Becomes a Crucial Criterion for Service Selection
When asked about the top three most important points when choosing a job search service for nursing care professionals, "diversity of working style options, such as employment type and working hours" (60.2%) was the most frequent answer. This was followed by "receiving job proposals that respect preferences" (56.9%), indicating that job seekers prioritize not only the quantity of job information but also whether they can choose a working style that suits them and receive proposals that align with their preferences.
Furthermore, a certain number of responses also mentioned "continuous follow-up system after employment" (34.0%) and "detailed support from registration to employment," suggesting that support systems throughout the employment process are also important factors in service selection.
Approximately 60% Use Multiple Services, Revealing Dispersed Job-Seeking Behavior Including "Re-searching"
When asked about the nursing care job search services used in their past job search activities (including services used in the past), the results showed that the number of services used was "1 company" for 42.9%, "2-4 companies" for 51.3%, and "5 or more companies" for 5.8%. Job seekers who had experience using two or more services accounted for 57.1% of the total, or approximately 60%.
These results suggest that in nursing care job search activities, a "dispersed" behavior is spreading, where job seekers do not complete their job search with a single service but rather use multiple services in stages. It also implies the possibility of a "re-searching" trend, where individuals search for jobs again through a different service after having used one previously.
General Comment
This survey revealed that for nursing care job seekers, the flexibility of working styles and how well proposals align with their preferences are major points in service selection.
On the other hand, with approximately 60% using multiple job search services, it is likely that it is often difficult to find a job that meets desired conditions with just one service. Since job content and conditions vary by service, the reality is that job seekers compare and consider multiple services to find the optimal choice.
Going forward, we believe that not only the quantity of job information but also the ability to provide proposals that closely match each job seeker's desired conditions and lifestyle, and to offer consistent support throughout the employment process, will become even more important decision factors. We will continue to work on improving service quality to meet these needs.
