NEC Platforms Launches Microsoft Teams Integration License for 'UNIVERGE BLUE' Full Cloud Configuration

NEC Platforms, Ltd. will begin offering 'UNIVERGE BLUE CONNECT for Microsoft Teams (Full Cloud)' on March 26, 2026. This service integrates the user interface with Microsoft Teams within the full cloud configuration of 'UNIVERGE BLUE,' a cloud service that centralizes essential office communication functions. Sales of the corresponding license will also commence simultaneously.

With this release, Microsoft Teams integration features will be available for both hybrid configurations using PBX/key telephone systems and full cloud configurations via cloud PBX.

Additionally, 'UNIVERGE BLUE ARCHIVE,' which stores and visualizes communication data, is scheduled to add a feature in the first half of FY2026 to store and visualize Microsoft Teams communication history over the long term.

This feature centralizes and maintains communication history, such as calls and chats, from both Microsoft Teams and UNIVERGE BLUE. By unifying previously scattered data, it helps identify new business opportunities, provides hints for operational improvements, enables rapid and accurate responses to investigations and audits, and strengthens compliance.

1. User Interface Integrated into Microsoft Teams
The UNIVERGE BLUE CONNECT interface is embedded directly into the Microsoft Teams app, allowing users to experience it as a single integrated application. Users can centrally manage and utilize functions like meetings, chats, file sharing, and calls within Microsoft Teams.

2. Contact Synchronization with Microsoft 365
By linking with Microsoft 365, contacts from Azure can be synchronized with the UNIVERGE BLUE CONNECT desktop and mobile applications. This includes organizational contacts from Microsoft 365 as well as personal contacts created by individual users in Outlook.
