NEC Facilities Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Executive President: Eiji Ozaki; hereinafter "NEC Facilities") has acquired the "Kurumin" certification mark from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, as a "childcare support company" based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising the Next Generation.

Kurumin Mark

NEC Facilities positions the support for balancing childcare and work as one of its important management themes and has continuously promoted the development of systems and environments that support employees during maternity and childcare periods and their families. As a result of these efforts, the male parental leave acquisition rate for FY2025 reached 59% (up from 48% in the previous fiscal year).

Furthermore, in acquiring the "Kurumin" certification, the company was evaluated not only for the establishment of systems based on an action plan but also for continuous operational improvements to enhance the ease of use of the systems and the ease of taking parental leave, as well as for fostering a workplace culture.

Our main initiatives for supporting the balance between childcare and work are as follows:
- Introduced the new maternity and childcare leave system "Baby Smile Package" from October 2025, to support employees of all genders through all phases from pregnancy to returning from childcare leave.
- Promoting the creation of an environment that makes it easy to utilize diverse work styles, such as super flex-time work, reduced working hours systems, and telework, even during maternity and childcare periods.
- Establishing a continuous follow-up system, including conducting interviews after long absences, to support a smooth return to work from childcare leave.

Comment from Representative Director and Executive President Eiji Ozaki

"Our company is continuously working on securing human resources for business growth, and we believe that the foundation for this is creating an environment where each employee can confidently envision a long-term career. Encouraged by this acquisition of the 'Kurumin' certification, we will further develop systems and operations to support the balance between childcare and work, and further promote the creation of a workplace culture that is easy for everyone to use."

NEC Facilities will continue to review and improve systems and operations to support diverse life stages, including balancing childcare and work, and aims to establish a workplace culture where systems are easy to use. Through creating an environment where everyone can work with peace of mind and continue to take on challenges, we will strongly realize the growth of human resources and business.
