Past seminars have featured presentations on the current state of cybercrime in the Chubu region from the perspective of Aichi Prefectural Police, as well as workshops (Cyber Police Game) designed to help participants recognize near-miss incidents. This year, we will invite frontline personnel from a company that actually experienced a ransomware attack to share firsthand insights into real-world cyberattacks and discuss concrete countermeasures companies should take. <Part 1> "It won't happen to us"—What really happened on the ground when it did? ~A Dialogue with a Ransomware Victim's Frontline Representative~

Many organizations believe they are safe from cyberattacks—until ransomware suddenly becomes a reality. In this session, we will host a frontline representative from a company that experienced a ransomware attack to reflect on the real situation on the ground, from initial detection and immediate response to internal coordination and recovery, through a dialogue format. We will then discuss how organizations can implement sustainable, practical countermeasures tailored to their own structures and environments, rather than striving for an unattainable "perfect" defense.

<Part 3> Key Points for Building IT-BCP Preparedness and Support Services

As cyberattacks grow more advanced, IT Business Continuity Planning (IT-BCP) is becoming increasingly critical as a management foundation for protecting corporate value. This session will systematically explain key management-level considerations for minimizing business impact from IT outages, including risk analysis, selection of priority systems, and setting recovery objectives. We will also introduce our practical support offerings, including consulting services to help meet the SCS Evaluation Scheme (note).
