NEARIZE Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Taiki Masuki; hereinafter 'NEARIZE') is pleased to announce that 'Risetsuteru,' a monitoring notification service for home and facility care, has been officially introduced to seven day service facilities operated by Care Partner Co., Ltd., a nursing care business company of the Daito Kentaku Group, as part of its full-scale deployment to nursing care facilities.

What is 'Risetsuteru'?
'Risetsuteru' is a monitoring solution that detects the 'leaving' (risetsu) of users in nursing care facilities in real-time and automatically notifies stakeholders via automated voice. By combining Bluetooth smart tags carried by users with receivers installed within the facility, it achieves an introduction that requires no special construction and minimizes the burden on the site. We respond to the structural challenge of the nursing care field, where 'noticing is delayed,' by systematizing initial response through technology.

Challenges Solved by 'Risetsuteru'
In nursing care facilities, 'leaving' (risetsu)—where users go outside the facility while staff are not looking—is a serious issue. Even with a monitoring system in place, it is difficult to completely eliminate the possibility of it occurring during gaps in work or in a split second, and if discovery is delayed, it can lead to serious situations such as accidents or missing persons. In a survey we conducted among 559 nursing facility staff members nationwide (January 2025), it was revealed that leaving occurred in 35.1% of facilities within the last year, and in 34.7% of those cases, it took 10 minutes or more to find the user. On the other hand, 47.1% of staff responded that 'noticing within 5 minutes is ideal,' highlighting a large gap between reality and the ideal. Furthermore, 32.6% feel challenges in their current monitoring systems, bringing to light the limits of relying solely on human attention and experience. Leaving is not just a problem for some facilities; it is a risk that can happen to any facility. 'Risetsuteru' complements human awareness with technology for this risk and prepares an environment where staff can respond calmly and quickly.

Demonstration Experiment with Care Partner Co., Ltd.
Prior to this full-scale expansion, we conducted demonstration experiments at three facilities of Care Partner Co., Ltd., which operates nursing care facilities nationwide as a nursing care business company of the Daito Kentaku Group. In the demonstration, we verified the effectiveness of the service by integrating it into the daily operations of actual nursing care sites. As a result of accumulating verification from the field's perspective, such as the operational burden on field staff, the speed and certainty of notifications, and the ease of continuous operation, we confirmed quality and compatibility that can withstand actual operation. Additionally, during the demonstration period, cases were confirmed where attempted leaving was detected beforehand, showing its effectiveness not only from the perspective of post-response but also from the perspective of prevention.

Voice from the Field
Staff members who participated in the demonstration provided honest evaluations not only of the practicality of the service but also of changes in their daily psychological burden.
'Just by wearing the tag, the sense of security is significantly different. I felt that the environment where I can respond calmly was established, being freed from the anxiety of whether I can notice it or not.' (From an interview after the demonstration experiment)
'The mechanism where notifications come in via phone is very practical. There is a sense of security that someone will definitely notice. I feel like I want to recommend it to other facilities.' (From an interview after the demonstration experiment)

Comments from the Person in Charge
Care Partner Co., Ltd., Day Service Department, Sales Promotion Section, Mr. Taku Mishima
In nursing care sites, there are cases where a workload of about one day occurs per case, such as searching when leaving occurs, creating reports, and responding to families. By introducing 'Risetsuteru,' we can expect a reduction in the psychological burden of staff and an improvement in response quality by establishing a system that can respond quickly to the first move even in an emergency. These results and high evaluations from facilities have led to this full-scale expansion to seven facilities in Tokyo.

Features of 'Risetsuteru'
- Leaving Detection by Bluetooth Tag: Users carry a Bluetooth smart tag, and receivers installed in the facility constantly monitor the signal of the tag. If it is detected that the user has gone outside a pre-set area, it is immediately judged as leaving.
- Prompt Notification by Automated Voice: When leaving is detected, the automated voice system notifies stakeholders by telephone. Information is transmitted immediately without waiting for checks on smartphones or management screens.
