Notre Dame Seishin University supports 'April Dream,' a project that aims to make April 1st a day to broadcast dreams. This press release is the dream of the Notre Dame Seishin University Student PR Organization, 'Seishin Real Publicity Department.'

**The reason we stood up**

In an image survey targeting high school students in Okayama Prefecture, Notre Dame Seishin University's score for 'matching the times' and 'being lively' was about half compared to surrounding universities.

Catholic, and a women's university. From those two words, it seems people sometimes think of it as 'somehow old' or 'stiff.' Before entering, we ourselves might have had a little bit of that feeling.

However, after actually spending time here, it was quite different from that image.

We want to deliver this 'difference' through our own words and videos. With that in mind, two months ago in February 2026, the student staff organization of the PR office, 'Seishin Real Publicity Department,' was born. There are 6 people in total, consisting of new 2nd and 3rd-year students. We are aiming for a structure of about 10 people by welcoming new students from April.

**We aren't exactly 'experts' at this**

We are not originally the type to be good at talking to people. We are neither used to posting on social media, nor do we have experience in video production.

Even so, with just the feeling of 'wanting to communicate about our own university by ourselves,' we are groping our way forward one step at a time.

During the coverage of the hood conferring ceremony and graduation ceremony in March, there were many occasions where we approached, or were approached by, people we didn't know, such as graduates, their parents, and guests. We were doing our best just to talk, sometimes biting our tongues mid-sentence or messing up our polite language. Members walking around in unfamiliar pumps found they had injured their little toes before they knew it. When we tried to record an interview video, there was a time we failed to press the start button, and the recording only started after the whole interview was over.

Failing to record, being nervous around strangers, awkward responses. Just a lot of failures. But we believe that beyond each and every one of them is a slightly stronger us, so we keep going. Camera composition, how to use editing software, how to approach people for interviews—these are all things we will learn from now on. We are trying to acquire them little by little, checking with everyone, 'Is this okay?'

**What we realized in our first coverage**

Our first step in activities was covering the hood conferring ceremony on March 12th and the graduation ceremony on March 14th.

As we walked around the campus with our cameras, the things we wanted to communicate...
