NCN Holds "21st Weighty Timber Premium Partner General Meeting"

NCN Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Ikuo Tagusari; hereinafter "NCN") held its "Weighty Timber Premium Partner General Meeting" (hereinafter "General Meeting"), a network of 64 carefully selected construction companies from its 632 registered contractors of the unique "SE Construction Method," in Sapporo, Hokkaido, on April 16, 2026. A total of 150 participants from 69 companies, including construction firms, affiliated pre-cut factories, and material manufacturers from across the country, attended. The event served as a platform to share key initiatives for fiscal year 2026 and confirm themes for strengthening overall group collaboration in the future.

The Weighty Timber Premium Partners are a network of 64 construction companies selected from 632 registered SE construction method contractors, based on the philosophy of "protecting customers' assets and future."

At the beginning of the General Meeting, Ikuo Tagusari, President and CEO of NCN, reviewed the activity results of the Weighty Timber Premium Partners for fiscal year 2025 and shared enhanced measures for fiscal year 2026 that cannot be achieved by a single company, emphasizing the importance of expressing the asset value of buildings, especially amidst concerns about inflation and rising material costs.

Next, Katsuhito Nakagawa, Senior Managing Executive Officer of NCN, explained specific promotions to be implemented this fiscal year to strengthen the "performance, design, warranty, and management" of each construction company. He posed the question of how to showcase custom-built homes in an era characterized by a declining population, fewer housing starts, rising housing prices, alongside an increase in affluent individuals and rising prices for used condominiums. He outlined a policy to enhance the asset value of homes across the entire group by focusing on "building design," "Weighty Timber branding," "financial mechanisms," and "company sustainability" to refine each company's strengths.

Following this, as an example of company sustainability, Masaya Abe, the 6th generation head of Abe Construction Co., Ltd., gave a presentation on business continuity titled "Succession and Diversification." Valuable insights were shared from multiple perspectives on how Abe Construction, celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, has addressed challenges such as diversification, organization, and human resources for business continuity, and the perspective of a manager connecting tradition with the future.

Finally, the meeting concluded with a letter of appreciation presented to Lumber Miyazaki Cooperative, which has made significant contributions to providing materials with reliable performance and quality, selected from the pre-cut factories responsible for the quality of the "SE Construction Method."
