NCN to Exhibit at 'Non-Residential Wooden Building Fair 2026'

NCN Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Ikuo Takusari, hereinafter "NCN") will exhibit at the "Non-Residential Wooden Building Fair 2026" to be held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from May 13 (Wed) to May 15 (Fri), 2026.

At this exhibition, NCN, which has cultivated reliable technology and a track record in wooden architecture—including structural design technology, procurement/processing, digitalization support, and architectural environmental design—will co-exhibit with its group companies (Mokukozo Design Inc., KINO BIM Inc., and Suiho Inc.). To address various challenges faced from planning to completion of non-residential wooden buildings, the NCN Group will present countermeasure strategies acting as a comprehensive "general contact point" for wooden architecture, along with the latest case studies.

Continuing from last year, the booth design will boldly express the appeal of wooden architecture through a series of wooden frames. By employing structural laminated timber and metal joints of the "SE Structural Method," visitors will experience a space that lets them feel the sturdiness of the framework and the comfort created by wooden structures.

Furthermore, on the final day, May 15 (Fri), Hirofumi Fukuda, Director and Managing Executive Officer of NCN, will take the stage for a special lecture. He will explain specific solutions for realizing medium-to-large-scale and mid-to-high-rise wooden buildings—centered on examples of the "SE Structural Method"—in response to the challenges in the "design, production, and construction processes" that are emerging as entry into non-residential wooden construction advances.

Point 1: "Structural Design"
NCN's proprietary "SE Structural Method" is a building method that achieves both large spaces and high seismic resistance. By utilizing laminated timber for main structural materials and proprietary joint hardware, it realizes non-residential wooden buildings with strong and stable structural frameworks. NCN translates its know-how backed by structural design technology accumulated from over 30,000 completed buildings into non-residential wooden architecture, enabling the realization of increasingly diverse and large-scale non-residential wooden structures. Additionally, we will introduce examples of structural calculation support that makes non-residential construction possible using various methods, including conventional post-and-beam, 2x4, and CLT methods.

Point 2: "Material Procurement & Processing"
By directly linking structural calculations with 14 partner precut factories, we provide an integrated response up to material procurement. We have established a system to stably supply optimal materials, whether domestic or foreign-grown, depending on the building's use and scale. Furthermore, we explain our system that supports smooth project progression by solving issues in "material procurement and processing," handling everything from high-precision precutting to special processing technologies that shape the design of non-residential wooden buildings.

Point 3: "Construction Network"
We will introduce our "Large-Scale Wooden Architecture Network," which alleviates concerns about construction held by design offices and construction companies. In collaboration with 36 partner companies nationwide, NCN consults to match clients with optimal construction companies and precut factories suited to local characteristics and project plans. For non-residential wooden buildings that are difficult for a single company to handle, we propose an optimal construction structure leveraging the strength of our network.

Point 4: "Digitalization Support"
Addressing the production workflow that is typically siloed into separate stages—design, structural calculation, estimation, construction, equipment, and precutting—the NCN Group proposes optimization through "digitalization support" technologies. We will showcase the forefront of technological developments aimed at improving the productivity of wooden construction utilizing BIM (Building Information Modeling) data and AR (Augmented Reality) / XR (Cross Reality) technologies.

Point 5: "Architectural Environmental Design"
To lead wooden construction projects to success, NCN's architectural environmental design introduces technology that visualizes indoor temperature and heating/cooling loads at the planning stage through modeling of site conditions and the planned building. In addition, we will present technical proposals for "architectural environmental design" that achieve both energy savings and health/comfort for various properties, including equipment design and energy-saving calculations utilizing BIM, and proposals for improving the energy-saving performance of existing buildings like apartment complexes.
