NCN Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Ikuo Tagusari, hereafter "NCN") has decided on the three winning projects for the "NCN Award", presented as a gold sponsor at the "TECTURE AWARD 2025".

The "TECTURE AWARD" is an award that celebrates the diversity and creativity of architecture and interior design, characterized by the fact that winning works are selected through public exhibition and general voting.

Following last year, NCN served as a gold sponsor and selected three excellent projects that combine sustainability and creativity from among wooden buildings utilizing the "SE Structure," awarding them the "NCN Award" (prize money of 100,000 yen each).

Additionally, one of the winning works, "MORI no KI TERRACE," was selected for the longlist after being screened by 18 ambassadors chosen from various fields. It advanced to the final selection and garnered high praise among numerous submitted works.

This project integrated a low-rise wooden building with a lawn plaza, creating new navigability in a previously closed-off city block. It was highly evaluated for transforming a prefectural office building, usually a "destination," into an "urban garden" where citizens can stay and enjoy daily life.

This award solicited architectural and interior design projects completed between January 2024 and December 31, 2025. It gathered a total of 16,506 votes—8,740 in the 1st Round and 7,766 in the FINAL Round—determining various prizes including the Grand Prix from among 1,033 entries. The winning works were announced on the TECTURE AWARD special website and at the award ceremony on March 31.

NCN would like to express its deep gratitude to all the designers who applied for the "NCN Award". Moving forward, we will continue to promote the shift to timber and wood-based architecture through the "SE Structure" and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

General Comments
The SE Structure has shown diverse developments along with the times. This year as well, we received many ambitious architectural works that utilized its characteristics. The three works selected are a pilotis building utilizing a sense of scale, an office characterized by a cantilever roof, and a residence that stands out for the fusion of architecture and interior design.

All of them present new spatial possibilities based on the characteristics of the SE Structure, which balances structural safety with construction reliability, embodying the architectural vision this structure has aimed for.
