Nippon Computer Development Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Director: Keiji Eguchi) will release a new feature, "Planning Gantt Chart," for its cloud-based production scheduler "Freely" on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
With the implementation of this feature, it will be possible to differentiate between the existing "Planning Board" feature, suitable for daily task management, and the "Planning Gantt Chart," suitable for medium-to-long-term process management, according to their respective uses, dramatically improving the flexibility of on-site management.

■ New Features and Enhancements

1. Realizing Hybrid Management of 'Short-Term Schedules' and 'Medium-Term Schedules'
Customers can use two types of boards according to their operational style.

* [Existing] Planning Board (for short-term planning):
A traditional board that assigns task cards by day. It is suitable for daily detailed task assignments and responding to sudden task changes.
* [New Feature] Planning Gantt Chart (for medium-term planning):
A board that allows visual management of long-term tasks spanning multiple days and the dependencies (order) of processes. It is suitable for overall oversight in units of several weeks to several months and for simulating delivery dates.

By using these two types of boards differently, multi-layered operations are possible, such as 'on-site leaders managing details with the board' and 'managers overseeing overall progress with the Gantt chart.'

2. Seamless Two-Way Integration with Core Systems
Not only is it easy to migrate from Excel or whiteboards, but data integration with existing core systems (such as production management systems and sales management systems) is also possible.

* Import:
Order data and manufacturing instruction data from core systems can be imported into Freely and immediately deployed as planning data.
* Export:
Work results (start, completion, man-hours, etc.) registered in Freely can be fed back to the core system.

This eliminates the hassle of duplicate data entry, simultaneously improving the accuracy of budget-versus-actual management and streamlining back-office operations.

3. Speed Up Planning and Adjustments with Intuitive Operations
Schedule and assignee changes can be made by drag-and-drop on the Gantt chart. We pursued a UI (User Interface) that can be intuitively operated even by on-site staff unfamiliar with system operations.

■ About "Freely"
"Freely" is a production scheduler born from the on-site first philosophy of "easier to use, easier to start, and easier to understand." We lowered the barrier to introduction and pursued an intuitive interface for everyone because we value the voices of each person working on-site. We have directly reflected numerous improvement requests received from users and have continuously updated features. Moving forward, Freely will continue to be close to the daily life of the workplace...
