Korean NC: Changes Company Name from 'NCSOFT' to 'NC' to Create New Value for the Next Generation

NC Corporation (Headquarters: Pangyo, Republic of Korea; Co-CEOs: Taek-Jin Kim / Byung-Moo Park) announced that it has changed its company name to 'NC'.

The resolution regarding the company name change was approved at the ordinary general meeting of shareholders held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the NC Pangyo R&D Center in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea.

The new company name will be progressively applied to brand assets and all external communications.

The new company name, 'NC', stands for "Next & Creative," embodying the will to "create new value for the next generation based on future challenges and creativity."

Taek-Jin Kim and Byung-Moo Park, Co-CEOs of NC, stated, "Our mission is to foster new value based on NC's corporate spirit of 'challenge' and 'creativity'." They added, "Each employee, as a creator of the future, will proactively and challengingly forge our future," announcing the meaning behind the new name and the company's future direction.

Since its founding as 'NCSOFT Corporation' in 1997, NC has promoted the redefinition of its corporate mission and brand building. In 2020, it unveiled a new CI (Corporate Identity) that removed "SOFT" from the traditional 'NCSOFT' logo and combined "N" and "C".

This signifies a direction to expand its business beyond gaming into technology, content, and platform domains, and embodies a brand identity that aims to create new experiences and enjoyment based on innovation and technology.

With this name change, the brand building efforts that have been underway since 2020 are now complete.
