An overwhelmingly sized and richly flavored dagashi katsu! 'Katsu-Oh Double Sauce' and 'Katsu-Oh Hot Chili Flavor (Limited Time)'

Natori Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Tokyo, Chairman and CEO: Saburo Natori) will newly release 'Katsu-Oh Double Sauce' and 'Katsu-Oh Hot Chili Flavor (Limited Time)' from Monday, April 20th.

Development Background In recent years, the fried food category in the appetizer section has been expanding. With frugality rising due to the impact of price hikes caused by soaring raw material costs, products that offer volume and affordability are favored, leading to increased demand for highly satisfying fried snacks. Furthermore, the dagashi (cheap sweets) katsu market has also significantly increased its sales over the past few years, garnering continuous support. Given this background, we are launching 'Katsu-Oh Double Sauce' and 'Katsu-Oh Hot Chili Flavor (Limited Time)', which feature a size far larger than our existing katsu product, 'Sauce Katsu' (*1), currently sold as dagashi. We expressed the product features of being 'large' and 'rich' with the word 'Oh' (King), creating a product that allows even adults to feel the 'fun of dagashi' and involuntarily pick it up.

Product Features ▹ Very Satisfying King Size! We finished it in a size that fully satisfies with just one bag. Compared to our katsu product 'Sauce Katsu' (*1), it is approximately 3 times larger (in area ratio). Dagashi katsu are often eaten as a snack primarily by children, but by making this product 'king-class' in size and enriching the flavor, we have created a product that adults can also enjoy as an appetizer.
