Naris Cosmetic Frontier Co., Ltd. (Address: Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Hiroyoshi Muraoka; 100% owned by Naris Cosmetics Co., Ltd.) has received the "Monisu Certification," a system for certifying excellent small and medium-sized enterprises regarding the employment of persons with disabilities by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. The certification was awarded by the Hyogo Labor Bureau at a ceremony held on March 27th at Hello Work Nada (Nada Ward, Kobe City). This report summarizes the company's past initiatives and current status.
What is "Monisu Certification"?
The "Monisu Certification" is a system implemented in April 2020, aiming for companies and persons with disabilities to "advance together" towards a bright future and the realization of a better society. It certifies companies that serve as role models for employing persons with disabilities, with the goal of promoting initiatives for employing persons with disabilities in the region and fostering organizational diversity. Based on applications from companies, a review is conducted across three areas—"Initiatives," "Results," and "Information Disclosure"—with a total of 17 evaluation criteria. Companies that meet these criteria are certified. Approximately 20 companies in Hyogo Prefecture have received this certification.
20 years since establishment. About Naris Cosmetic Frontier Co., Ltd.
Our company was established in 2005 by our parent company, Naris Cosmetics Co., Ltd., as one of its initiatives to embody its corporate philosophy, "for others – for the benefit of people." We aim to provide a workplace for persons with disabilities, unleash their potential, and enable them to work with purpose, become independent, engage with society, and contribute to it. After a preparation period, we began operations in 2006 as a special subsidiary responsible for cosmetic manufacturing. The company name and corporate logo were established with the desire to bring a new breeze to cosmetic manufacturing from Rokko Island, serving as a flag-bearer.
At the time of establishment, the number of employees was 27 (12 of whom were persons with disabilities), but currently, it has increased to a total of 45 employees, comprising 28 full-time employees and 17 part-time employees (as of March 18, 2026). Among them, 5 employees have hearing impairments, 8 have intellectual disabilities, 2 have lower limb disabilities, and 2 have mental disabilities, all of whom are engaged in daily production activities, demonstrating their abilities alongside able-bodied employees. Eight employees (6 of whom are persons with disabilities) have continued to work since the company's inception. Furthermore, among the 6 company-based "Job Coaches" designated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to support the workplace adaptation of persons with disabilities, 2 are employees with disabilities. We strive to improve the quality of cosmetic manufacturing by establishing unique information-sharing methods to foster mutual recognition of diversity and collaboration to produce results. *The number of employees at the time of Monisu certification application differs from the current number.
Evaluation system is the same as the parent group. Barrier-free work manuals improve quality for everyone.
For example, individuals with hearing impairments utilize their high concentration skills to excel in inspection tasks. Employees with intellectual disabilities can perform learned tasks carefully and consistently. Furthermore, employees who use wheelchairs demonstrate excellent ability to oversee the entire operation. Each employee works by leveraging their unique strengths. To facilitate smooth communication among employees, our company creates visual work manuals and uses voice recognition tools. These measures not only prevent work errors for employees with disabilities but also contribute to quality improvement for all employees.
In 2019, we also aligned our evaluation system with that of the parent company, making promotion conditions and other terms identical. Moving forward, we will continue to strive for quality assurance and productivity improvement, creating an environment where employees can work vibrantly and achieve results.
