April 8th is "White Kidney Bean Extract Day"

Naris Cosmetics Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Fukushima Ward; President and Representative Director: Hiroyoshi Muraoka) applied to the Japan Anniversary Association (Saku City, Nagano Prefecture) to designate April 8th as "White Kidney Bean Extract Day" to commemorate the patent registration of their unique ingredient derived from white kidney beans, which possesses both stratum corneum exfoliation and skin barrier functions. The certification was received on March 20th.

Founded in 1932, our company has had a research and development department since its inception and has focused on developing unique plant-derived ingredients by harnessing the hidden power of plants. The ingredients currently in use exceed 40, aiming to provide unparalleled effects in cosmetic development. Furthermore, since launching our first exfoliating lotion "Naris Conq" in 1937, we have continued our stratum corneum research for approximately 90 years. This time, we have established formulation technology for lotions that can stably incorporate our original ingredient "White Kidney Bean Extract / Display Name: Benibana Ingen Seed Extract (Moisturizing Ingredient)" – which has both exfoliating and skin barrier functions – at higher concentrations than before, while maintaining stability even in low-temperature environments, leading to patent registration in December 2025. While we first registered a patent for ingredients derived from white kidney beans (Formal Name: Benibana Ingen) in September 2019, we also registered a related patent in May 2024. This time, driven by our desire to provide experiences that bring out one's innate beauty with even higher perceived effectiveness, we have achieved this commemorative day certification. *We define the outermost layer of the skin itself as the "stratum corneum" and unnecessary aged keratin as "keratin."*
