Nara Kasugayama Sake Brewery's sake cellar boasts a history of approximately 400 years, beginning with "Yokotaya" in the mid-Edo period. After "Yokotaya" continued for 13 generations, Yagi Sannosuke, who ran a rice brokerage in Dojima, Osaka, took over everything in Meiji 10 (1877), and it became "Yagi Shuzo." Approximately 150 years later, in December 2022, "Honda Net Kinki" became the new owner, renaming it "Nara Kasugayama Sake Brewery" and embarking on a new beginning.
