Suginomori Brewery Co., Ltd. (Narai, Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture; CEO: Hiroshi William Sandberg) has today begun sales of "narai terra," the first assemblage sake from the suginomori brewery brand. This product is a bottle created by layering multiple batches of "narai" brewed since brewing resumed in 2021. By carefully combining sakes from multiple vintages, including the first batch, it brings out a depth and harmony that cannot be expressed in a single year. Conceived as a new expression of "narai" that embodies the accumulated time of the brewery's journey, it is sold in a limited edition of 500 bottles.

■ About narai terra
"narai terra" is the first assemblage sake crafted by suginomori brewery.

Since resuming brewing in Naraijuku in 2021, suginomori brewery has repeated preparations in small tanks, brewing a total of 53 tanks of sake to date. For this product, multiple batches of "narai" born during that journey were carefully layered to explore a harmony of flavors.

By combining several vintages, including the first batch, a depth is created that cannot be expressed by a sake from a single year. Furthermore, by layering sakes brewed with different sake rices, such as Kinmon Nishiki and Sankei Nishiki, it has culminated in a flavor where their respective characteristics quietly harmonize.

Sake that combines different vintages and multiple brews is a rare endeavor even within the sake industry, and it marks a new challenge for us as well.

The expression of sake aged over four years, and a newly born harmony.
That layering has become a new expression in the "narai" sake line.
