JR Central & JR West Launch EX Hayatoku Limited-Time Sale for Summer Shinkansen Travel

JR Central and JR West announced the 'EX Hayatoku Limited-Time Sale!' discount for Express Booking and Smart EX members. The offer applies to Nozomi reserved seats between Tokyo/Shinagawa/Shin-Yokohama and Nagoya/Kyoto/Shin-Osaka/Okayama/Hiroshima for groups of 2 or more booking together. For example, a one-way Tokyo-Hiroshima Nozomi reserved seat is 15,000 yen per adult and 7,500 yen per child, saving up to 4,960 yen per adult. The travel period is August 7-10, 2026, for upbound trains (towards Tokyo) and August 13-16, 2026, for downbound trains. Tickets are available from June 26, 2026, until 40 days before the travel date. Sales hours are 0:00 to 23:59 daily, but may be 5:30 to 23:30 during system maintenance. Seats cannot be selected during initial booking but can be changed starting at 10:00 one month prior to departure. Note that all Nozomi trains will operate with reserved seats only (no non-reserved seats) from August 7 to 16, 2026.
