Naoshima Cultural Village Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kagawa-gun, Kagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Koichi Yoshida), which operates Benesse House Park and Benesse House Beach (Naoshima-cho, Kagawa Prefecture; General Manager: Ken Okubo), will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Based on the unique experiential value fostered through nature, art, architecture, and hospitality, we will continue to provide memorable stays for our guests.
From Ken Okubo, General Manager of Benesse House:
“Benesse House Park and Beach have reached their 20th anniversary. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported us over the years.
Benesse House Park is a rare wooden structure among Tadao Ando's architecture, and I personally feel its charm every day. What is particularly impressive about this place is the close proximity between guests and local residents. The unique experiences here, where smiles naturally emerge, are invaluable. I feel that the peace of mind brought by the natural environment enriches human relationships.
Next year, Benesse House Museum will celebrate its 35th anniversary. Towards this milestone, we will further strive to improve our services and enhance our culinary offerings. As part of this, a new 'food' experience venue, 'Setomae Sushi Nagi,' opened in April 2026.
Moving forward, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to maximizing the unique appeal woven by 'nature,' 'art,' 'architecture,' and 'hotel,' and to continuously provide experiential value found only here.”
