NANKAI to Sponsor “Nankai Hawks Revival Night in Osaka” and Launch Collaboration with the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks

NANKAI Corporation, led by President Nobuyuki Okajima, will serve as the game-day sponsor for “Nankai Hawks Revival Night in Osaka,” a Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks-hosted game to be held at Kyocera Dome Osaka on Tuesday, August 4. NANKAI will also carry out a collaboration project with the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. This game will be the Hawks’ only home game in Osaka this season. It will be the second time NANKAI has served as game-day sponsor, following last season. On the day of the game, players will wear the “Nankai Hawks Revival Uniform 1959-'68.” Attendees will receive replica uniforms with the same design. The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks won their second consecutive Pacific League title in the 2025 season, advanced through the Climax Series, and claimed their first Japan Series championship in five years at the SMBC Japan Series. Their predecessor, the Nankai Hawks, was founded in 1938 as Japan’s ninth professional baseball team. After winning their first title in 1946, they went on to win the Pacific League 12 times and became Japan Series champions in 1959 and 1964, earning strong support from fans. On October 15, 1988, the team played its final game against the Kintetsu Buffaloes before a packed crowd at Osaka Stadium, bringing its 50-year history to a close amid great affection from fans. Namba Parks, which later opened on the former site of Osaka Stadium, continues to preserve that history through the Nankai Hawks Memorial Gallery, which displays uniforms and other items, as well as commemorative plates embedded at the former locations of home plate and the pitcher’s mound.
