The 7th-floor shared space of "Parks Tower," an office building within the Namba landmark Namba Parks, has been renewed and opened on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, as an employee-exclusive lounge and meeting room named "PARKS PATIO." It was planned as a space resembling a "special backyard for working people" that echoes the lush Parks Garden, a symbol of Namba Parks. As a place that workers can use on a daily basis, an environment has been established to accommodate a variety of activities, not just for meetings and work, but also for resting and refreshing one's mood. Through a production process that involved office worker participation, art using plants from the garden, and sound direction incorporating environmental sounds from along the railway line, the project aims to improve the value of the entire office building and the comfort of office workers by bringing in a margin to condition the mind and body amidst urban convenience.
Nomura Co., Ltd. was in charge of the design, planning, construction, art production, and event planning for office workers. The space is planned so that the organic scenery of Namba Parks and the fluctuation of light and greenery are brought indoors, while sound and artwork add gentle changes to the space, providing a variety of places to choose from depending on the mood and purpose.
Main Areas
### LOUNGE 1 A lounge space like a backyard that incorporates elements of pleasant light and greenery. It can be used for various scenes such as lunch and small meetings.
### LOUNGE 2 A gently partitioned solo work space. This area can be used when you want to concentrate on your work or enjoy a quiet lunch alone.
### Meeting Rooms We offer meeting rooms of various sizes with unique features, catering to a wide range of situations from casual interviews to meetings of about 30 people.
### BUSINESS LOUNGE & RELAX ROOM You can spend a peaceful time in a comfortable waiting area surrounded by artworks and a space dedicated to relaxation to reset your mind and body.
Features of the Renewal
### Spatial Production through Sound Aiming for a space where you can feel a connection with nature while being in the city, we collaborated with artists Masahiko Takeda and kafuka. We recorded environmental sounds in the Namba station area, which is familiar to office workers, and the Koyasan area, representing the Nankai line, creating a space where visitors can unconsciously calm their minds.
### Spatial Production and Artwork Connecting with the Namba Area As an office building adjacent to Namba's representative commercial facility "Namba Parks," an organic curved design featuring the facility's iconic "Grand Canyon" motif is incorporated into the lounge. In addition, we have introduced art pieces by Atsushi Ozawa using waste materials provided by neighboring facility tenants, artworks by bulbus SYO TANii / Sho Tanii using plants from Parks Garden, and signs manufactured by tenant company Daikan Co., Ltd. We have created a space where you can visually feel the connection with the commercial area and Parks Garden.
### Co-creation Process Built by the Entire Office Building We proceeded with the planning of this area based on the daily voices of office workers in addition to the annual worker surveys. The lounge design was determined by a vote by office workers, and workshop events were held for the sound production. We planned and developed the space while emphasizing the process of creating the space together with the building's tenants. *Artists mentioned: Masahiko Takeda, kafuka, OZA METALSTUDIO / Atsushi Ozawa, bulbus SYO TANii / Sho Tanii (in random order)
