Completion Ceremony
Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (President: Nobuyuki Okajima; hereinafter "Nankai Electric Railway") will commence operations on April 1 for the "Kita-Osaka Truck Terminal Building 7" (hereinafter "Building 7"), a large-scale multi-tenant logistics facility constructed within the Kita-Osaka Distribution Center (Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture). A completion ceremony was held on March 25. Building 7 is the third core facility in the redevelopment of the Kita-Osaka Distribution Center, following "Building 1" and the "Osaka Food Distribution Center Building E." It marks the first redevelopment project since Nankai Electric Railway began directly managing its logistics business following the merger with the former Semboku Rapid Railway Co., Ltd. last April. The facility has a total floor area of approximately 183,000 square meters (approx. 55,400 tsubo) and stands six stories tall. It features a truck terminal on the first floor and distribution centers on the second through sixth floors, with double rampways providing direct access to every level. It boasts superior disaster resilience, being the first large-scale multi-tenant logistics facility in Japan to adopt an intermediate-story seismic isolation structure, and is equipped with emergency power generators to ensure electricity supply during power outages. Nankai Electric Railway remains committed to advancing logistics facility development, providing infrastructure that contributes to logistics efficiency and supporting the essential logistics infrastructure for economic activity.
