One of Kansai's Largest Multi-Tenant Logistics Facilities, 'Kita-Osaka Truck Terminal Building 7,' Begins Operations on April 1

Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (President: Nobuyuki Okajima; hereinafter "Nankai Electric Railway") will begin operations on April 1 for the "Kita-Osaka Truck Terminal Building 7" (hereinafter "Building 7"), a large-scale multi-tenant logistics facility constructed within the Kita-Osaka Distribution Center (Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture). A completion ceremony was held on March 25 ahead of this launch.

Building 7 is the third core facility in the redevelopment of the Kita-Osaka Distribution Center, following "Building 1" and the "Osaka Food Distribution Center Building E." It marks the first redevelopment project since Nankai Electric Railway began directly managing logistics operations following the merger with the former Semboku Rapid Railway Co., Ltd. last April. The facility is a 6-story building with a total floor area of approximately 183,000 square meters (approx. 55,400 tsubo). It features a truck terminal on the first floor and distribution centers on the second through sixth floors, equipped with double rampways providing direct access to every floor. It boasts superior disaster resilience, being the first large-scale multi-tenant logistics facility in Japan to adopt an intermediate-story seismic isolation structure, and is equipped with emergency power generators capable of supplying electricity during power outages.

Nankai Electric Railway will continue to promote advanced logistics facility development, providing facilities that contribute to logistics efficiency and supporting the logistics infrastructure essential to economic activity.
