■ BME (Bio Medical Engineering) Field ~The interdisciplinary frontier between life sciences and engineering~

・This program targets research that takes original and innovative approaches to contribute to medicine and human health.

・As a supplementary term for BME, we have added "the interdisciplinary frontier between life sciences and engineering." We have expressed this by considering biology, medicine, etc., as life sciences, and the application of physics and chemistry as engineering, and by adding "engineering" to "science" to form "engineering," and using the term "interdisciplinary frontier" to indicate that it is a research area where these collaborate.

・We broadly cover research fields from basic to applied, with a view to advancing medical care and promoting health.
