■ Can 'passion' lead to the future?
In a rapidly changing modern society, to be a valuable asset in society, individuals are required to accept diversity, such as differences in nationality, gender, and values, and to act for others.
Leveraging the knowledge gained from our previous single-sex education, our school will develop new education suitable for the Reiwa era, capable of embracing all forms of diversity.
We believe that 'passion, through learning, becomes a force that connects to the future and society.'
Our school aims for an education where each student's 'passion' and 'interests' do not merely remain personal experiences but deepen into learning and eventually connect with society.
■ Learning that connects from 'passion' to society has already begun
Already, many initiatives that are the sprouts of this approach have emerged at our school.
Students who, while still in high school, collaborate with university laboratories, conduct research on specialized topics, and present at academic conferences.
Graduates who, under the global education cultivated over more than a decade as an SGH/WWL designated school, have experienced international exchange and study abroad, and are active globally.
'N.Box,' a special course offered not only for the subjects typically learned in a full-time general course but also to stimulate students' intellectual curiosity, help them discover the joy and fun of learning, and broaden their perspectives, transcending subject and grade boundaries.
And the 'Student-Led New School Project,' where students themselves ask 'What kind of school do we want to create?', identify challenges, think for themselves, and propose ideas to the principal.
These are all practices that start from 'passion,' lead to 'learning,' and then connect to 'society.'

■ To the next stage — The 'new intersection' brought by co-education
However, our dream is not yet complete here.
With co-education, an environment where diverse values intersect will be created, and a new history will begin.
In April 2026, approximately 700 first-year students will enroll in both junior and senior high school as the first co-educational cohort.
Taking this change as an opportunity, our school will take another step forward.
As part of this, we will implement a 'Career Interview Project (tentative name)' inviting professionals active in various industries.
The purpose is not merely to attend career lectures, but for students to proactively interview people working in companies, summarize the content, and output it, thereby increasing their interest in the real world and broadening their career choices. Through opportunities to meet active professionals in society, we will connect each student's 'passion' to society, foster authenticity, and lead to self-realization. We will establish a support system, including individual consultations by career counselors, to thoroughly consider university and other higher education paths for their future.
Towards learning where students' 'passions' serve as a starting point, organically connecting inquiry-based learning, global education, university partnerships, social collaboration, and extracurricular activities.
Towards a school where each individual's potential grows into a valuable force in society.
That is our April Dream.
We believe that expressing this dream is the first step towards the future.
'April Dream' is a project by PR TIMES where companies express dreams they wish to achieve on April 1st. 'Nakamura Gakuen Junior and Senior High School' is seriously aiming for the realization of this dream.
