Thank you for your continued support of the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins.

On Saturday, February 7th, at the game against the Sunrockers Shibuya, our game partner, Iwatani Tokai Co., Ltd., hosted a used cooking oil collection booth.

The collected used cooking oil will be recycled as sustainable aviation fuel "(*1)SAF" through Iwatani Corporation, which participates in the "FRY to FLY Project."

(*1) What is SAF?

It is a next-generation aviation fuel produced from waste materials such as used cooking oil, plants, and municipal waste. It can reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 60-80% compared to conventional jet fuel and is gaining attention for decarbonization (carbon neutrality) in the aviation industry.

What is the "FRY to FLY Project"?

This is a domestic circular decarbonization project that collects "used cooking oil" from homes and restaurants and recycles it into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). In collaboration with local governments and companies, this initiative aims for resource circulation and achieving virtually zero CO2 emissions (carbon neutrality) by 2050.
