Originating from the story of Emperor Ninmyō offering 16 sweets on June 16, 848 (the first year of the Kashō era) to ward off plague, the practice of eating wagashi to wish for health and fortune was passed down until the Meiji era. At Nagomi no Yoneya, we will hold a special event for one day only on Wagashi Day, Tuesday, June 16th! ● Special Sale at All Direct Stores: Nama Kuri Mushi Yōkan (small). A steamed yōkan with a soft and chewy texture, packed with chestnuts.
