Nakano Corporation (Headquarters: Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture; President: Takashi Nakano), a company engaged in the processing, manufacturing, and sales of metal products, exhibited at "Exterior x Garden Exhibition (EXG) 2026," Japan's largest exterior exhibition held at Makuhari Messe on Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th, 2026. At this exhibition, the company introduced two flagship models from its "SS" series of the developed garbage station "DUSPON" series, along with one key-equipped premium model from the "Home Slide DUSPON" series. In line with EXG2026's theme of "Connecting City and Home with Outdoor Space Design: Latest Trends," our company presented new value proposals required for future outdoor spaces through this exhibition. Displayed this time: SS-BZ-1580 (back left), HSDP-BZ-774 (center), SS-1880 (back right). ■ Manifesting Challenges Surrounding Garbage Stations In recent years, challenges such as increased burden of garbage disposal, waste discharge outside designated days, illegal dumping, and scattered garbage have become apparent in various regions due to the declining birthrate, aging population, and changes in lifestyles. Furthermore, diverse social issues, including security concerns, have also come to light. In this context, garbage stations are required not just for their mere functionality, but also to harmonize with the urban landscape and connect private and public spaces. Against the backdrop of these challenges and changing needs, through dialogues with visitors at this exhibition, our company identified the values required for outdoor spaces as three perspectives: "Create," "Protect," and "Support," and made product proposals accordingly. "Creating" the landscape DUSPON is not just a garbage station; it pursues designs that harmonize with the urban landscape. It blends seamlessly when installed in various locations such as building facades, common areas, and local garbage stations, connecting private and public spaces and playing a role as an element that forms the overall scenery of the city. Additionally, its stylish and orderly appearance gives the impression of a "managed space," which also helps deter illegal dumping. "Protecting" safety and security In areas with an aging population, garbage disposal is one of the tasks that can easily become a burden in daily life. The Slide DUSPON's horizontally sliding opening mechanism eliminates the need to lift garbage bags high, allowing even those with less physical strength to put in and take out waste without difficulty. Furthermore, by preventing garbage from being scattered by crows, it reduces the effort and stress of cleaning and contributes to maintaining the local environment. Moreover, the balance between security and ease of use is another important value. The "Intelligent DUSPON," equipped with an electronic lock, responds to improved manageability in common areas and increased security awareness, while also achieving a user-friendly design for everyone. "Supporting" labor-saving construction In sites facing severe labor shortages, reducing the construction burden is required. All DUSPON products are provided as pre-assembled finished goods, significantly reducing the workload at construction sites and allowing for installation by a small number of people. Additionally, voices from the field such as "assembly work is a significant burden for small construction crews" were heard, indicating a demand for finished products. ■ Visitor Feedback During the exhibition period, many visitors came to our booth and showed great interest in our products. Although the exhibited SS series does not have a lock, inquiries such as "Can a lock be attached?" were received, indicating a rising awareness of safety and security. When explaining that an electronic lock is currently under development to be attachable, some visitors showed interest, suggesting growing interest in electronic locks. Regarding the exhibited products, there were opinions such as "too big" or "too small." However, when we explained the "Slide DUSPON High Slim" series, which was not exhibited this time, using a catalog, some expressed that it was closer to their preference. In terms of construction, comments such as "it's very helpful that it's a finished product" and "on-site assembly is a significant burden for small crews" were heard, reaffirming the demand for the value of labor-saving construction. On the other hand, frank opinions were also received regarding the "half-opening structure," which we take as important insights for future product development. Our company will continue to expand our proposal areas to stores, offices, public facilities, and general housing, striving to realize "outdoor space design" that enhances the landscape and functionality of entire towns. <> ● SS-1880 (approx. 1700L) Stainless steel x Walnut F ● SS-BZ-1580 (approx. 1350L) Black ZAM® x Mellow Gray ● HSDP-BZ-774 (approx. 150L) Black ZAM® x Bright Yellow "Intelligent DUSPON" not exhibited this time. ■
