Kishiya Co., Ltd., a leading medical trading company in Kyushu, faced challenges with their long-standing WMS at the Kishiya Logistics Center, which manages tens of thousands of medical materials. The renewal costs for their previous system were double the expected amount, and its inflexibility hindered the implementation of on-site operational improvements, leading to increased manual tasks. APT was selected due to its ability to offer a WMS with a flexible architecture that optimized the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) over a 10-year period, including initial, maintenance, and renewal expenses. APT also demonstrated strong proposal capabilities and a collaborative approach to solving complex medical logistics challenges within a tight schedule. The new WMS is currently in its final adjustment phase for full operation, and it has already fostered a proactive improvement cycle within Kishiya, with on-site feedback being incorporated into handy terminal screens. Moving forward, Kishiya plans to leverage this WMS to renew aging automated warehouses, integrate data from all locations for inventory optimization, and achieve labor savings through integration with the latest material handling technologies, transforming their logistics department into a strategic hub. APT will continue to provide strong support for these initiatives.
